Hello, World!
Hey guys, it’s been awhile. Nevertheless, I have oodles of news to share with all of you.
Not really, but we’ll pretend.
ANYWAY I actually got into college, thank the lords above, and now it’s super crunchy time to decide where I actually want to spend the next four years and how much in debt i actually want to be. Emmanuel College is where I would love to go, and I would have to pay $17,000 out of pocket. That…is not very attainable, seeing as I have about $100 in the bank (>_>..) but it is the perfect place for me. The other day one of my friends told me it was their backup school, but I guess that’s what I get for having intelligent friends! Huh. So next is Curry College, which is wicked nice but I have no interest in it so, moving on, Bridgewater. I am not ready for Taunton High 2.0, and also have very little interest in the school. But they offered me a lot of money and I just don’t know if I should go there and be miserable or to Emmanuel and have a shit ton of debt.
And my parents aren’t helping.
They told me to go where I wanted, and then last night they dropped the bomb on me that they really couldn’t afford to pay for anything. They told me I should’ve seen it coming. Thanks mom and dad. I understand that I will have to pay for most of my education, but I was really hoping they would help me out a little bit.
So that was aggravating, and they are up all over my back about scholarships.
And I realize, I’m not really impressive enough to get scholarships. I’m the average above-average kid, and that realization made my day that much worse. I am really struggling right now.
What helped though was getting to hang out with my close friends this weekend. They ground me in a way that no other group of people, to my knowledge, can. They both smell good and allow me to tag along with them, and that’s enough for me. I am forever grateful
I really need to figure out what I am interested in. Choosing a major is not going to be easy because one) i don’t know what I’m good at, two) I don’t even know if I’m good at anything, and three) I JUST DO NOT EVEN KNOW.
My cat’s litterbox is too much to handle right now. Somebody’s going to have to go change it, and it’s probably going to be me -_-
I finished reading The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo series, and damn that series is intense. I didn’t want it to end, but I thoroughly loved it. I highly recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a captivating trilogy.
